Picture
Captain Sturges U.S. military unit is ambushed by insurgents during a routine desert patrol. They are heavily outgunned and in danger when the attack suddenly stops, their attackers are dragged way by the "devils of the sand" as the locals call camel spiders.

Sturges is wounded in the battle, and comes back to the much more hospitable deserts of the Southwestern US.  With him he brings one of his fallen comrades, what no one realizes is that a couple of camel spiders come along for the ride.

And now they find themselves in an environment where they can breed at an exponential rate, the spiders hunt freely for prey and aren't afraid of any predator, including humans.

From now on, no place is safe and no one is safe from their paralyzing sting. Now is up to a small band of hearty fighters to face them and to make one last stand against these monstrous creatures.
